So I have been busy…doing what you might ask!? Knitting, working, sewing (oh yeah just completed a course in sewing – just the basics on various garments, of which, I shall be posting some updates very soon! :).

So anyways, with the Ravelympics round the corner, I am in two teams – UFO Invaders and Headhuggers, both of which are part of the SAARC (South Asian Crafters Group) on Ravelry. So yeah with me participating in 2 massive projects in the UFO category and 2 hats, I really don’t have a breather these days! Phew!

The first one in the UFO projects is the Coffee Tunic by Mira Ranki. Beautiful pattern, clear instructions (though I had to alter the gauge and stitches a bit to suit my preferences. I am a tad clumsy with cables and increasing and decreasing just confuses me in this context). So, I am making it without any increase/decrease until the bust section where I will be doing the needful as the pattern calls for!

With 21 inches to complete from         the ribbing till the armholes, it is      quite a bit of work, which means   sleepless nights, undereye circles   and what not! But who cares? This     is a challenge and I am up for it           armed with plenty of cups                     of coffee!!

The next one is the very loveable Featherweight Cardigan by the much-adored Hannah Fettig.

It’s easy to understand why this cardigan is so popular. With an easy construction, an ability to customize it as you want and a nice drapey effect, this one’s a winner in my list. Plus, it is so versatile when it comes to layering.

As you can see, not much done on this one….longg way to go. Hoping it will be done by the 28th!! Fingers and toes crossed! 🙂

The other two projects in the Headhuggers team I am working on are the Cairn hat for my husband and Kat from Kim Hargreaves’ “Precious”. Already finished CO for the Cairn hat and almost done with the 2×2 ribbing section.
